  • Harthon

    Harthon Records was set up by Johnny Stiles, Luther Randolph and Weldon A. McDougal III In Philadelphia, producing 45s on scores of different labels.

  • Goldwax

    The Goldwax Record label was formed in 1964 by Quinton M. Claunch and Rudolph V. 'Doc' Russell in Memphis, Tennessee.

  • Ric Tic

    Ric Tic was owned by Ed Wingate and was purchased by Berry Gordy in 1968 together with Golden World and Wingate.

  • Inferno

    The Inferno label was owned by Harry Balk, John Rhys and Barney 'Duke' Browner. It was in operation for two years, 1967 and 1968. Inferno was bought out by Berry Gordy in 1968.

  • Groovesville

    Groovesville Records was owned by Don Davis. The label was distributed by Golden World and Solid Hitbound Productions. Groovesville was in operation from 1966 to 1967.

  • Invictus

    Invictus was an American record label based in Detroit, Michigan and created by Edward Holland, Jr. Lamont Dozier and Brian Holland.

  • Black Magic

    Black Magic was originally set up in Nottingham, UK. They released licensed reissues for the Northern Soul scene.

  • Chocolate City

    Chocolate City Records was a record label subsidiary of Casablanca Records & Filmworks. It was set up in 1975 by Cecil Holmes.

  • Philly

    Philadelphia International Records was founded by Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff in 1971 and was famous for showcasing the sub-genre of Philadelphia soul music.

  • Soozi

    Soozi Records originated in Chicago, Illinois in the 1970's. In 1977 Velvet Hammer released 'Happy' under the Soozi label.

  • Psychedelic

    Inspiration for the Psychedelic collection has been taken from the colours used within the album artwork of the Soul generation.

  • Crazies

    The Crazies collection uses a selection of vibrant and interesting artworks taken form album covers from the Soul era.
